In the webinar organized by Nexetic on January 14, 2025, over 200 IT professionals participated in a discussion on cybersecurity and identity management, particularly regarding Microsoft Entra ID. A survey conducted during the webinar revealed significant findings: up to 90% of respondents consider it critical to restore Entra ID within a day, and a quarter of the respondents demand that there be no interruption at all. The question “How quickly should Entra ID be operational after a disruption?” produced the following results:
- 25 % responded that no interruption is acceptable – the system must be operational immediately.
- 19 % deemed a recovery time of less than an hour necessary.
- 46 % viewed restoration within the same day as essential.
- Only 10 % would tolerate a disruption lasting more than a day.
These results highlight the critical role of Entra ID in organizations’ IT infrastructures. The service manages user authentication, access rights, and integrations, for example, into the Microsoft 365 environment. Disruptions are not only inconvenient but also jeopardize business continuity and security.
Rapid recovery is crucial
